Superhands will be opening its fifth school this year in Jatlan, Mirpur. The school building has been generously donated by one of our supporters for the purpose of supporting education in the local area. It was formerly a domestic residence with ten bedrooms and is on half an acre of land. Currently work is underway to convert the building into a school. The school will open with an intake of students in Nursery, Prep and Class 1, with a view to adding new classes on a yearly basis. At full capacity the school could hold 300 students and have a significant positive impact in the area.
One of the senior members of Superhand’s executive has also donated a very valuable plot of land in Mirpur. Also, in Khari Sharief a plot of land has been donated. We are very grateful for all of these donations. We believe that the hard work of staff and students at our existing schools, in particular the 100% pass rate in 2019 board exams, has raised our profile. The schools are demonstrating they can deliver a high standard syllabus as well as providing for the students spiritual and material needs.
