Our five free schools in Pakistan and Azad Kashmir offer a route out of poverty for some of the region’s poorest children.
Welcome to Superhands
We run five free schools for children from disadvantaged backgrounds in Pakistan and Azad Kashmir, regardless of their gender or religion.
We employ fully qualified graduate teachers who use the Oxford University Press syllabus, which emphasises English, Maths, Modern Arabic and IT, laying a strong foundation for further education and careers in skilled jobs.
All our students learn in a co-educational setting.
We are very proud to be able to offer 850 children the life-changing opportunity to learn. You can help build their future.
Our Schools
Our schools provide uniform, books and stationery to students free of charge. Our students also receive a free cooked lunch daily, which for many children, is their main meal of the day
Our strong links with the region and the community ensure that our schools are well maintained and professionally run.
Our Students
Our students are some of the most disadvantaged children in the region – typically, they may be orphaned, or born into families who are dependent on the wages their children can earn (for example as market vendors or domestic servants).
Without our schools, the vast majority of our students would receive no formal education.
Your Donations
As a small organisation, Superhands is run with minimal resources in the UK, which means almost 70% of your donations go directly to the schools themselves.
We achieve this by running a small office, keeping staffing costs as low as possible, and pledging that our trustees’ travel costs and other expenses are and will always be self-funded.
